Keli's Baptism

Yesterday, my super cute 9 year old niece got baptized. A few weeks back, I had the strongest urge to ask her if she had ever been saved. I told her what it meant, and her eyes lit up, she jumped up and asked if she could get saved! A memory I will never forget for sure. That following Sunday, she was saved at church. And finally yesterday was her baptism. She was incredibly excited, which you can see written all over her pretty little face. And came just in time since we are moving away from them this week. (Which I am both happy and sad about) I have loved these couple of months of having  them close by, and really enjoyed the church we have been attending here. (Broadway Baptist Church in Sweetwater, TX if anyone ends up in this area) But I am very excited about getting a bigger place soon :)

Rod-e-o

This past weekend, we headed out to the Abilene Rodeo. We brought Keli, Chrissy & two of Chrissy's friends with us. We all had an aboslute blast, even Kolton was doing his best to watch what was going on.  I can't believe it has been so long since I have been to a rodeo. Definitely need to make an effort to go more often!

Dear Kolton: Month Four

Dear Kolton,

Is it really that time already? I know I say this every month, but I can't believe you are already four months old.. where does the time go? Why does it have to go by so fast? This past month has been a roller coaster of a month.. you have learned so many new things that it is hard to keep up with. You have not had your official 4 month appointment yet, but I measured you on my own and you are 24.5" long and we are estimating you to be about 14lbs (I will update this post once you have your appointment on Wednesday) One day I set you down for tummy time, and you just popped your head up like it was nothing new. Keli and I on the other hand were completely shocked and so excited. You have also started to hold your own bottle and are becoming quite the little pro. You actually have rolled over one time, I know you did it on accident, but hey, it still counts right? haha. You would rather sit up than be laying down, and are doing a pretty good job of trying to hold yourself up on your own. It seems like you are becoming interested in mommy and daddy's food. Could be because your mean ole daddy keeps teasing you with it. (you can get him back one day) You love putting every thing you can get your hands on in your mouth. And you love grabbing daddy's beard. Thank you for that, just means he shaves it off now! HAHA! We are still in Sweetwater, it looks like we may be moving soon, and hopefully that does not change, because you are showing signs of being ready to sleep in your own room. I think your 5 month birthday would be perfect timing to move you. The dogs still ignore you, and Mia has developed a serious jealousy issue with you. We are unsure what to do with her at the moment. We hope it does not result in having to rehome her. :( On top of doggie issues and (hopefully) an impending move, you lost another grandparent. This month has been so full of ups and downs, & you little Kolton seem to be our "up". I hope you know just how much you are loved, and how treasured, and important you are to so many people. Our sunshine in the darkness for sure.

Love,
Mommy

Chrissy's Birthday Weekend

Last weekend we celebrated Chrissy's 11th birthday!! Although, she actually turned 11 on Wednesday (I am obviously a little late in posting!) We started out her celebration at Sonic. This particular Sonic, has a party area, with a large playground, seating, and basket ball court. Pretty neat! Anyway, Chrissy decided that is where she wanted to have her party. It was simple and short, a few of her friends met her at the park, they ran around like a bunch of lunatics, ate cake, opened presents, ya know, the whole birthday thing.

Then on Sunday, we all headed out to the fair in Abilene. The kids and I had a blast, and didn't want to leave, however we were overruled by the other adults. HAHA. I don't have a ton of photos of Chrissy, because she and the "older kids" ran off by themselves to ride as many rides as they could. I stayed behind with the adults and the babies.. This was the first year that Kiki was tall enough to ride all the baby rides, so she was over the top excited! Was so much fun to see her all excited. This was also the first year that Keli was tall enough for the big kid rides. These kids are all growing so fast, before I know it, I will be watching Kolton hitting these height "milestones" wahhhhh!!! Slow down time!!!

Happy Birthday little girl, I love you,

xoxo
